Battle of the Bakers Hong Kong Round 1


You can read our full blog post of the first round of Battle of the Bakers HK here, with the winners in first, second and third places as follows:

In 1st place were the Apple & Walnut Mini Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting. Take a close look at the rose on top, as it is actually made entirely of fine slices of lightly cooked apple!

In 2nd place, the Vegan Pumpkin Spiced Latte Pie which contained tofu as a binder in the frosting and impressed all the tasters from a technical as well as taste perspective.

In 3rd place, the Individual Size Lemon Cheesecake with Lemon Curd which was sour, tangy, tart and sweet - very well balanced overall.


We will meet all the bakers next on November 1st for round 2 where where they will learn cookies and pâte à choux with Anouska Mutreja from The Rose Petal Cakery. For all other info, see www.Battleofthebakershk.com
