    Go Gourmet - pre-cooked turkeys and catering

    Go Gourmet is the catering arm of Hong Kong's Magnolia Kitchen and offers a delectable

    range of canapes and other dishes to take the stress out of entertaining, as well as pre-cooked turkeys with all the trimmings. We have experienced first hand the catering provided by Go Gourmet and thoroughly recommend it in particular their spiral cut hams with signature glaze.

     

     

    They also offer pre-cooked turkeys for pick up with a wide range of interesting sides including a spiced Bourbon cranberry relish. Most popular and in limited supply however are their Magnolia turkeys. Each turkey takes over an hour to prep before even getting to the oven. They are ‘injected’ with a blend of Cajun spices so expect areas in the meat with a bit of a kick! To ensure maximum moistness, they are coated inside and out (and under the skin) with a homemade sage butter and roasted with apples, onions, garlic, white wine, lots of fresh herbs and covered in bacon for the first half of the roasting time to protect the breast meat (bacon is removed on the final product). Let them know if you prefer turkey bacon at that stage.

     

    They also have traditional turkeys which are less expensive as they are less labor intensive, but still hand rubbed with Cajun spices and roasted with homemade sage butter. This year, they also have the smaller 4-6kg size available.

     

    Hams are ‘bone in’ and come fully cooked with a house made honey ham glaze. These are not pre-cut. There are also spiral cut hams with their signature glaze in limited supply.

    Magnolia, the private kitchen, is also open for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve dinner priced at $695 and $880 for eating in or $595/695 for pick up. You can view the menus for 24th here and 31st here.

     

    Both are Cajun style and include the Chef's New Orleans specialties of gumbo, spiced honey glazed ham with cornbread Andouille stuffing as well as New Orleans banana Foster with Bourbon pecan Cake.
