Guide to Buying Sausages, Bacon, Ham & Other Pork Products in Hong Kong
Being British, I love a good fry up, but have always been distinctly dissatisfied with HK's bacon & sausage offering, and the same goes for the hams and other pork products. We have therefore scoured the market to find the finest bacon, sausages and pork products, and would love to hear your findings too, so do get in touch!
Jett Fine Foods is one of HK's lowest cost retailers of imported meats and fine foods who deliver 6 days a week. Their pork selection includes ground pork which works well in many Asian dishes such as this stirfry with kimchi. We (and our children) also love their Spanish Duroc baby back ribs in this stick recipe. Most products are frozen. Get 10% off your first order and an additional 5% off for quoting Mango Menus. You must register first.
Golden Pig has British back bacon, sausages and pork & apple burgers from a family run country from Essex farm in the UK. The sausages come in two flavours: pork & apple and pork & jalapeno. The bacon in particular got a huge thumbs up in our house! The owners were born in HK but raised in the UK, hence their desire to bring decent British fayre to HK! The family business also sells a large range of Canadian pork products under the same brand, available in most supermarkets. We made a tremendous black bean soup with their shredded ham hock...
