Hong Kong can be a challenging place to go food shopping. There is no one-stop shop so we end up trawling hundreds of places for just one recipe. And what exactly are they selling in the wet markets? The smells can be offputting and we are never sure where the food is really from. Indeed they even seized a load of "fake" beef from the markets last year. As a result, many of us forced into paying inflated prices for Western imports in the expat supermarkets.

Since arriving in HK several years ago, I have shopped (and eaten) relentlessly, trying every supplier, store, delivery service and market. The result is the guide in this website, which should help you find the very best ingredients at the right price, and I will continually update it with my findings every day.
